Ann Louise Jones

October 11, 1941 — April 16, 2021

Ann Louise Jones, of Bronte, passed away in her home on April 16, 2021 at the age of 79. Her final days were spent surrounded by her family on the ranch. She was born on October 11, 1941 in San Angelo, TX, to parents Ben and Vera Williford. Ann married Rex Jones on June 8, 1963. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend with a heart of gold. Ann always helped people in need – whether it be hauling her world-famous chicken and dumplings to the sick, donating to MD Anderson, or being a friend to talk to. She also loved animals, big and small. You could find her snuggling with yet another kitten she somehow found or feeding apples and cantaloupe rinds to the bull on the ranch. Ann was an amazing cook; her dishes were often imitated but never surpassed. While she remained very busy cooking, pampering her pets, and being the best homemaker, Ann did enjoy sneaking off to hunt arrow heads for hours on end. Ann is survived by her husband, Rex; her son, Matt and his spouse, Tori; two grandchildren, Rhett and Matti; and her brother Howard. She was preceded in death by her son, Justin Jones. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to MD Anderson or your favorite charity. Funeral services will be held at Harper Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 20th, at 10:00 AM. There will be a viewing on Tuesday morning at 8:00 until the funeral begins. Live streaming and distanced seating are available for those that desire it.
