Barbara Elaine "Barb" Myers

Barbara Elaine “Barb” Myers, of San Angelo, passed away January 6, 2019 at the age of 80. Barbara was born August 26, 1938 in Johnstown, PA to Clyde and Alice Alwine. Barbara was married to Richard D Myers in Johnstown, PA in 1966. They would have celebrated 53 years of marriage on February 19, 2019. They made their home in Stahlstown, PA for many years prior to their move to Texas. She was retired from Ligoneer Valley School District where she worked in Custodial Services. Barbara enjoyed knitting, cooking, and spending time with her “four legged furry friends”. Although she had no children of her own, she loved her nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews like they were her own. Barbara had a heart of gold. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in San Angelo. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, and her Father and Mother-in law Ralph and Jane Myers. She is survived by her husband Richard of San Angelo, her brother Richard Alwine and wife Linda of San Antonio, her brother Barry Alwine and wife Belinda of San Angelo, sister Monna Alwine of Klamath Falls, OR, her sister-in-law Janice Bauer and husband Harvey of Brookville, PA, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, and her dog Max. A memorial celebration will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday January 26, 2019 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 3231 College Hills Blvd. San Angelo, TX, with Pastor Paul Zwarich officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara’s memory to a charity of the donor’s choice.
