Bradford Wells

Bradford Weston Wells, known as “Brad” by most, passed away on April 10, 2020. Brad was born on September 4, 1959, in Fort Stockton, Texas, the son of Harvey L Wells and Shirley Gerbert Wells. As a child he attended schools in Fort Stockton, TX and in Oklahoma graduating in 1977 from Ft. Towson High School, Ft. Towson, OK. Brad earned his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business and Finance from Oklahoma State University before returning to Ft. Stockton to open Golden Fried Chicken then obtaining his Real Estate brokers license to manage Wells Realty. Brad moved to San Angelo to work for the Tom Green County Appraisal District. Brad was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Texas Association of Appraisal Districts, and Texas Association of Assessing Officers. Beyond the work of life, Brad was known for volunteering in many organizations within the communities he lived. The list of volunteerisms included Ft. Stockton Jaycees, Ft. Stockton Water Carnival, Ft. Stockton EMS, San Angelo Cub Scouts, San Angelo Boy Scouts, San Angelo Volunteers in Public Schools, Sierra Lights and Tom Green County 4-H Shot Gun Shooters. Brad loved fishing, hunting, skiing, waves crashing on the beach, and being a raconteur every now and then. But, more than anything else, he adored his family. Those surviving him are wife Misty of San Angelo, sons Spencer Wells and Hudson Wells of San Angelo, Trevor Wells and Ashley of Woodward, OK, and daughter Amanda Nielson and Jason of Mooreland, OK. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Clair Nielson, Hagen Nielson, Bowie Mac Nielson, Emma Wells, Becca Wells and Aubree Wells. A memorial service will be held at a future date in order to abide by the current social distancing guidelines suggested for the public. The family request in lieu of flowers a contribution may be made to one of the following: The San Angelo Texas A&M University Mothers’ Club Memorial Scholarship Fund (In Memory of Brad Wells: PO Box 62314, San Angelo, TX 76906), Jason or Amanda Nielson (FBO Hagen Nielson Brucks Syndrome Medical Account: 216822 ECR 398. Mooreland, OK 73852). The Wells family would like to extend gratitude to San Angelo Aggie Moms, The Peacock Group, the Tom Green County Appraisal District and Sierra Lights Neighbors for their love, kindness and support at this time.
