Catherine Marsh

Catherine Marsh, 98, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 16, 2018 in San Angelo. Catherine was born September 11, 1920 in Pittsburgh, PA to John and Mary Caine Brosnan. Catherine grew up in Pittsburgh and graduated from Mercy Hospital Nursing School in 1941 with an LVN degree. She met, and later married Ervy Dennis Marsh and they shared 55 wonderful years together and raised four children. Catherine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother as well as a friend to many. She practiced as an LVN at Community Medical Center for many years. She and her husband Ervy were both members of the San Angelo Community Medical Center Auxiliary. In honor of her husband Ervy, who was a WWII Veteran and her son John, who is a Vietnam War Veteran, Catherine was a Life Member of the VFW Auxiliary as well as the Texas Association of Healthcare Volunteers. Catherine was the matriarch of the family and she will be truly missed she left her mark on all of us. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and John Brosnan, her uncle Dan Caine, her sister Bella Hall, her husband, the love of her life Ervy Marsh, her daughter, Mary Bowser, her grandchildren, Mark Painter and William Wiegand. Catherine is survived by her daughters, Catherine Alexander and Karen Yates; her son, John Russell Marsh; her grandchildren, John Russell Marsh, Jr., Theresa Lynn Zaun, Stephanie Lynn Boone, Kevin Painter, Bryan Painter, Debra Painter, Lisa Marie Hutchings, Natalie Wiegand, and Kristina Middlestate, Great grandchildren Ashley Panter, Kylie Painter, Dylan Wiegand, Caitlyn Wiegand, Avery Middlestate, Addison Hutchings, Tanner Hutchings, Alexander Marsh, Austin Marsh, Ryan Marsh, Diana Marie Zaun, Stephen Zaun, Jr. Brett Boone, Tanner Boone, Brandi Blades, Chaz Blades, Hailey Blades and Jayde Blades, as well as 7 great-great grandchildren. The Graveside Service will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
