Clifford Wayne Owens was born in San Angelo, Texas on August 12, 1959, to Annie Lois Hall Owens and Tony Owens. He confessed Christ at an early age, uniting with Mount Zion Baptist Church. As a child Clifford moved to Ft. Worth with his mother, returning to San Angelo as a young lad to attend Blackshear Elementary, only to return to Ft. Worth to attend William James Jr. High, then on to Polytech High School. As an adult he was employed as a cook for the Ft. Worth ISD. Later, Clifford returned to San Angelo to continue his chosen career as a cook, working at Cheddar's, Henry's, RJ's, Logans Steak House, Chili's & many other popular restaurants. Clifford was known for sending cards with Bible verses. He never forgot birthdays or other special occasions. He had a sweet and soothing spirit; that was unmatched. He always called his family to check on them even when he didn’t feel well himself. And of note, it has been said that each and every morning he called his earthly father Tony and check on how he was doing. He was a member of Southgate Church of Christ, and his church family meant the world to him as it has not gone unnoticed that they loved him unconditionally. Clifford was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Lois Owens, grandparents Jesse and Sarah Hall & Earo King. Also, uncles J. B Hall & Don Hall Sr. He is survived by his father Tony Owens, brother Tony Edward (Jacqueline), Terri Ann Owens, Arthur Edward Wilson (Ella), BB Owens & Eve Smith. Also surviving are aunts Frances Hall & Margaret Hall and uncle Ronnie King and wife Diane. In addition, he leaves to cherish a host of other family & friends. 2Timothy 4; I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith; henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness. Indeed Son, indeed.
