Douglas Dwight Plowman

December 5, 1939 — April 13, 2021

Loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather Douglas D. Plowman is singing praises in Heaven today. Doug was born to L.L. Plowman and Lottie Faye Stokes in Centralia, Illinois on December 5, 1939. He always said he got to Texas as fast as he could. He was raised in Kilgore, Texas and joined the Air Force after high school. The Air Force brought him to San Angelo, Texas where he met, fell in love, and then married Dorothy Russell at Goodfellow Air Force Base. They married February 6, 1960. Together they built a beautiful life raising two sons, Russell and Steve. Doug is survived by his loving wife Dorothy, his sons Russell, Steve and wife Tammy. Grandchildren Sabrina Hurtman, Josh, Jeremy and Matthew Plowman along with ten great grandchildren. He is also survived by five half brothers and sisters, Keith Evans and his wife Linda living in Oregon, Pat, Bob, Jeanie and Bill living in Florida. A memorial service will be Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Celebration Church. Family and friends may share online condolences at www.harper-funeralhome.com
