Elizabeth Nelson Davis

January 19, 1934 — September 29, 2021

Keziah Elizabeth Nelson Davis, 87, was brought peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. She lived most of her life in Lamesa, TX, but spent her last few years in San Angelo, TX in the home of her Grandchildren, Daniel and Megan Moore. She was born on January 19, 1934 in Hockley County, TX to Joseph Lee and Angie Paris Nelson. Elizabeth enjoyed many careers in her life including Nursing, Accountant and Bookkeeper, Rabbit Breeder, and owning and operating her own greenhouse and orchard. She had a great love for children, and always put her family first. She had a dedication to the well-being of her family that was resolute. She would do anything that was asked of her for her loved ones, and put herself last without hesitation. She had a smile that would instantly transform the mood, no matter the circumstance. And above all, she had a deep love for God’s word and spent countless years reading and studying. She especially spent time reading the Old Testament and was very fond of King David. She read the Psalms of David daily, her favorite being Psalm 91. Elizabeth is survived by her Sister, Lila Ruth Nelson Williams; Daughter, Priscilla Moore; Grandchildren, Michael Reed, Desiree and Ben Miller, and Daniel and Megan Moore; and 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sister Mary Katherine Nelson Cason, and two brothers, Daniel L. Nelson and W.S. Nelson. A memorial will be held on October 16, 2021 at Lakeview Bible Church in San Angelo, TX at 11am.
