Evelyn M. White

On Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 11:11 am, Evelyn M White ran into the arms of Jesus and her loving husband, Homer, and moved into her forever home in Heaven. Loving mother to Pat and Tim; Grandmother to Michelle, Courtney, Shelby, Tyler and Zack; Great-Grandmother to Taylor, Travis, Keegan, Kinsley and Finn. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Homer White, her mother, Esther, her father, Turner; Sisters, Lila and Lois. She is survived by her daughter Pat in Euless, her son, Tim in San Angelo, siblings, Carolyn Watkins, Lucille Foster and Turner Jones, five Grandchildren and five Great Grandchildren, countless friends from Mississippi and Texas. Evelyn was a hard working mother and wife of simple faith. After retiring as a hairdresser for more than 20 years, she loved gardening, attending to her iris’, making her home beautiful and singing with her family. She was famous for her gumbo and sweet tea and only Nana could make macaroni and cheese from a box so special that her grandchildren begged for it! We think her secret ingredient was “love”. She was a force of nature and never waivered in her faith in Jesus Christ. Serving as Pall Bearers are; Wolfgang Gloger, Danny McPherson, Seth Monty, Tyler White, Zachary White, Keegan McPherson. Honorary Pall Bearers are Travis Ramsey and Finn Monty. There will be a memorial gathering at Harper Funeral Home in San Angelo on Wednesday, July 21st from 9:00 am – 10:30 am, followed by a graveside service at Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, San Angelo at 11:00 am.
