John Makane Riley, 22, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 22, 2021, in San Angelo. John was born May 10, 1999, in San Angelo, Texas to Michael and Teresa Lohse Riley. He grew up in San Angelo but attended Water Valley High School. After graduating from Water Valley High School, John worked several different places. He was currently employed with Dixon Construction working mainly on natural gas pipelines. John was a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle,nephew, cousin, and friend. His giving nature shined through his love of helping others, especially the elderly. Even as a young child he was very selfless and always wanted to help everyone. In his spare time, he loved being outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He also loved hanging out with his family and friends whenever he could and joking around with everyone. John never met a stranger and was always the highlight in the room at gatherings. His quick wit and selfless love for helping others will remain in our hearts forever and we will dearly miss him! John was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father Michael Riley, and his brothers, Jared Lohse and Mickey Riley and his cousin Erik Lohse. He is survived by his mother, Teresa Riley, of San Angelo; his brothers, Devin Lohse and his wife Julia, of Corpus Christi, TX, and Tate Riley of Ballinger; his sisters, Brooklee Massey and her husband Colton, and KellseyCastanuela and her husband Joe, all of San Angelo; his grandmother Donna Rathbone, of San Angelo; and numerous other family members and close friends. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. on Friday, November 26, 2021, at Harper Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Harper Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Bush officiating. The burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers for the service will be Tate Riley, Cody Williamson, Laredo Williamson, Jess Williamson, Michael Long and Kaden Walker.
