Kathryn Louise Hill

October 3, 1944 — April 6, 2018

Kathryn "Kitty" Louise Hill, 73, passed away at her home while surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, April 6th 2018. Kitty was born on October 3rd 1944 in Pecos, Texas and adopted shortly after birth. She grew up in Ballinger, Texas where she met her husband and best friend Larry Hill at seventeen. After two weeks they married on March 12th 1962 in San Angelo, Texas. Their love story was the 1 Corinthians 13 type of love that held true all 56 years of their marriage. Kitty enjoyed cruising street rod shows with her hunny, playing dominoes and Phase 10 with her grandkids, shopping with her girls, soaking up the sun in South Padre, meeting up in Branson with cousins, crafting, cooking and racing with her family. She would do anything as long as she was surrounded by the ones she loved. She worked alongside her husband at L&N Automotive since 1966, bookkeeping and co-piloting trips for parts/cars all over. She was a member of the San Angelo First Church of the Nazarene for more than 30 years. She never wavered, she kept the faith, and fought the good fight which led her to her heavenly Father’s arms and although we miss her dearly she left her lasting light of love we always can tap into. She is survived by her most cherished husband, Larry Hill, their son, Danny Hill of Midland Texas, and daughter Terri Sartain and her husband Dennis of San Angelo Texas; seven grandchildren, Courtney Sartain, Chad Hill and wife Emily, Megan Sartain, Corey Hill and wife Morgan, and Casey Sartain; four great-grandchildren, Morgan Palmore, Makenzie, Makayla and Noah Hill; her treasured cousin Elaine Probst; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, all of whom she loved dearly. And not to forget mama's girl LuLu, her English Bulldog, who brought her so much joy. She is preceded in death by her parents Russell and Reba Lancaster, father in law Noah Hill and mother in law Ruth Melton, sister Evelyn Flowers, brother Delbert Lancaster, and niece Louise Lovell. The family would like to thank Dr. Darrell Herrington, Marc Mesch and Solaris Hospice team from bottom of our hearts for empathetic, caring devotion, skilled knowledge and the many late-night house calls to bring comfort for us all. Such gratitude to The Springs Memory Care Family for continuous support and understanding. What a blessing it is to be comforted by not only a nurse who makes it her life's mission to ease the elderly's journey home, but by a granddaughter who fulfilled her promise to never leave her side til the end. Courtney, You were truly a ray of Sunshine. Harper Funeral home will be handling all arrangements. Funeral service are at 10 am April 9th 2018 at San Angelo First Church of the Nazarene, 3354 W. Beauregard, San Angelo Texas with Gary Brown and Dr. Gregory Ledbetter officiating. Graveside to follow at Grape Creek Cemetery.
