Larry E. Renfro

Larry E. Renfro, 73, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018. Larry was born in San Angelo, Texas to Raymond "Tiny" Renfro and Jewel "Skipper" Renfro-Lee on April 16, 1945. He grew up in San Angelo and graduated from San Angelo Central High School. After high school Larry went to work at GTE. He became the youngest person in GTE to hold a managerial position. Larry worked for GTE for 31 years and during that time he developed many new programs for the company, eventually became the Bill Distribution Manager for the entire southwest region and was sought after nationally for his expertise and problem solving. Mr. Renfro was preceded in death by his parents "Tiny" Renfro and "Skipper" Renfro-Lee, older brother Ronald Renfro and a very special step-father Jack Lee. Larry is survived by his only child, daughter Traci Folmar and her husband David as well as former wife Sue Renfro Jenkins who continued to be a caregiver until his death. Two grandchildren, Brittany Folmar­ Waymack and her husband Scott of Frisco, Texas, David "Michael" Folmar of San Angelo, and a great grandson Warren Waymack, younger brother Eddy Renfro and his wife Cindy of San Angelo, sister-in-law Linda Arther of Brownwood, Texas and three nephews Michael Renfro & Brandon Renfro of San Angelo and Cody Renfro of Austin, Texas. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Park Plaza Nursing Center for their years of care and compassion they showed to Mr. Renfro. A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at Harper Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
