Lita B. Alemany

Lita B. Alemany passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, in San Angelo, Texas, at the age of 86. Funeral Services will be on January 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM Harper Funeral Home in San Angelo. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Lita was a citizen of the world. She was born on September 22, 1935, in Almunia de San Juan, Spain. She moved to London in 1953. Eleven years later, Lita and her mother moved to reunite with her sister, Anne Marie Carter, in Odessa, Texas. While considering a return to Spain, she vacationed in Barcelona, where she met the love of her life, Peter, on the beach. Their whirlwind romance began when he taught her how to swim, and they wed a year later on September 25, in San Angelo, Texas. They were to be married for 50 years and had a daughter, Christine. Lita was a hairstylist in San Angelo, eventually opening her own salon, Christina’s Hairstyles. When she wasn’t making people look beautiful, Lita was an avid tennis player, frequently traveling to tournaments with her team throughout Texas. Lita’s legacy began with her mother, Alegria Altemir, who preceded her in death. She built it with the love she shared with Peter, and it will continue with her daughter. She is survived by her husband Peter G. Alemany of San Angelo, Texas, and her daughter Christine Alemany and her husband Michael Fulton of New York, New York.
