Marvin Dwayne Asbill

November 12, 1941 — December 15, 2016

Marvin Dwayne Asbill, 75, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. The Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the Cathedral Church of the Sacred Heart. The Funeral Mass is at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 19, 2016 at the Cathedral Church of the Sacred Heart in San Angelo with Father Steven Hicks officiating. Burial to follow at Rowena Cemetery. A meal following burial will be provided at St. Thomas Hall, 404 W. 7th, Miles, Texas. Marvin was born in San Angelo on November 12, 1941 to William “Bill” and Bessie Asbill. He graduated from Central High School and attended Angelo State. He also served in the US Navy. He enjoyed golf and traveling in his RV. He was a master electrician at Indeco Co. for many years. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents William "Bill" and Bessie Asbill, and Father-in-Law L.P. Schwertner. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Carol and their children: daughter, Jean and husband Tracy Moody, and son Kaid of Virginia; son, Scott and his wife Jennifer Asbill and their children, Kaitlyn, Taylor, Haylea, Rylie, Christopher and Jordan of Eden; daughter, Melissa and husband Randal Jacoby and their children Kristyn, Cash, Beau, Bailey, Ross, Lane, Sean and Bret of Brady. Marvin is also survived by his sister Mollie Wright, Mother-in-Law Lucille Schwertner, Brothers-in-Law; Harvey (Linda) Schwertner, Ronald (Patty) Schwertner, Steven (Linda) Schwertner and Sister-in-Law Theresa (Donald) Weishuhn, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Also special friends Jim and Mary Anne Goodwin and their children, Woody and Dixie Barton and there children, The Sacred Heart Saturday Night Supper Group, and The Indeco Co. Family. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cathedral Church Building Fund.
