Vaughnie Boyd Gilly

Vaughnie Boyd Gilly, 75, of San Angelo passed away February 13, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was born July 31, 1946, in San Angelo to Victor and Ina Gilly. He married Kay Joseph Gilly on June 14, 1969, and was blessed with two children. Vaughn was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and friend to many. He loved tinkering in the garage, restoring furniture and lamps, finding treasures at junk stores, watching the Dallas Cowboys but most of all family vacations. His greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren. Vaughn spent his career in retail at Warren Drug, Accent on Gifts, Georgia’s, Nathan’s and Holland Jewelry. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kay; daughter Jennifer Stringer and husband Michael, son Jeff Gilly and wife Calista; four grandchildren, Brittany Miller and Briley Stringer, Jaiden and Kenzie Gilly; great-granddaughter Lillie Miller; and one sister, Vicki Johnson and husband John. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Ina Gilly and brother, Gene Gilly. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022, at Harper Funeral Home from 5:00 – 7:00pm.
