Billye J. Henderson-Ducote

March 31, 1924 — January 6, 2018

Billye J. Henderson-Ducote passed away Saturday January 6, 2018. She was born in Roby, Texas, on March 31, 1924 to Eli and Maggie Coker. Billye touched many lives in her 93 years of life. She grew up in Fisher County and spent the first half of her life in Snyder and Roby. Billye graduated from Roby High School and Abilene Business College. Billye married Lon P. Henderson, Jr in January of 1946. Lon passed away in May of 1967. Billye married C.T. Ducote in July of 1979. C.T passed away in July of 2007. Billye and C.T. enjoyed many trips to Europe, Central America and South America with the Dine-More Company. Billye and C.T. were active members of The Hoolihan for many years. Billye was active in The Children’s Miracle Network, San Angelo Country Club Bridge group, and other special charities she supported. Billye was preceded in death by her parents Eli and Maggie Coker, Lon Henderson, C.T. Ducote, one brother Denzel Coker and sister Doris Coker Rector, Lon P. and Lorene Henderson, and step-daughter DeAnn Ducote. Billye is survived by her two sons, Perry and Steve, granddaughter Claire and Patrick of Boerne, TX., great-grandson Kaynen, one sister Pansy Hale of Hamlin, special niece Ricki Holt and her husband Eric, of New Braunfels, nephew Josh Pfluger, niece Krystal Pfluger Scott and her husband Ryan, step-daughter Linda Eschman, grandson Jeff Eschman and his wife Jill of Houston, granddaughters Audra Day and her husband Miles, of Lubbock, Kristen Eschman-Nichols and her husband Paul Hampden Maine, step son Michael Ducote, grandsons Chad and Ceyork Ducote, along with many other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by special family friends Beth Stringer, Melinda Nolen, Rita Sheen, Joyce Rhone, Carol Eakman, and Price Dixon. Our Family wishes to thank Rudy Haddad, MD, Michael Wood, MD, and the Nursing Staff of Shannon Medical Center 4 North, the ICU and Respiratory Department for the care provided to our mother. Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 10th at Holy Angels Catholic Church under the direction of Harper Funeral Home.
