Bonnie Lou Williams, 83, of San Angelo formerly of Abilene went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 20, 2016 in San Angelo surrounded by her family. Bonnie was born February 12, 1933 in Holdenville, OK to John Beaty and Malah Lee Smith. Bonnie met and later married the love of her life, Carlisle Griffin Williams. They were married on March 3, 1950 in McAllen, Texas and shared 65 beautiful years together. Bonnie’s greatest achievement in life was being a loving wife, Mother and Grandmother. She was a strong woman of faith. She loved her church home, First Central Presbyterian Church in Abilene. Bonnie devoted countless hours volunteering for her church by visiting the elderly, preparing funeral meals for church members and working at the Food Pantry. She also volunteered her time delivering Meals On Wheels around the city in Abilene. In her spare time, Bonnie loved gardening, growing beautiful flowers and traveling with her husband to the beach. She had an incredibly beautiful spirit of giving back to people and she will be dearly missed by all who loved her. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Carlisle Griffin Williams, of San Angelo, formerly of Abilene; her children, Andy Williams and his wife Valerie, of San Antonio, Nina Coward and her husband Jim, of San Angelo and Libby Probandt and her husband Ed, of San Angelo; 7 Grandchildren, Ben Williams, Scott Williams, Emily Baker, Derek Williams, Katie Mostert, Bobby Mostert and Kenny Mostert; 3 Great Grandchildren and 1 on the way; her Brother, John Smith and his wife Dot, of Tyler, TX. The Graveside Service will be 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Fairmount Cemetery with Rev. Janice Six officiating. The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks and appreciation to Hospice of San Angelo for all of the loving care given to Bonnie.
