Casey Lee Davis, 46, went to be with our Lord on June 22, 2024, after a long courageous battle with Huntington’s Disease. Casey was born on July 28, 1977, in El Paso, Texas, to parents Howard Lee Davis and Lois Ellen Simpson Davis. Casey graduated from Fabens High School. He attended Blinn College, Texas Tech University, and New Mexico State University.
Casey loved being on the Davis family farm in Fabens. From the time he was a little boy, he rode in the truck alongside his dad. He also used to ride on the tractor with his dad using his pillow to prop him up in the seat. When he was grown, he worked with his dad and his uncle, Rives Davis, on the farm, eventually becoming the foreman. Casey also farmed on his own, leasing several neighboring farms. Team roping with his buddies and his horses Whiskey and Rojo was Casey’s favorite pastime.
Casey was preceded in death by his mother Lois Simpson Davis, his sister Kristin Davis Rodgers, his paternal grandparents Claude and Itasca Davis, his maternal grandparents Colonel (Ret.) Leonard and Elizabeth Simpson and his aunt Janice Simpson (Stoney) Stonebreaker.
He is survived by his devoted father Howard Davis; uncles and aunts Rives (Valerie) Davis, Scott (Jenna) Simpson, and Linda White; nephew and nieces Zachary Rodgers, Makayla Shea Rodgers, Alexandra Faith Rodgers, and their father Brian Rodgers. In addition, Casey is survived by cousins Tammy (Frank) Johnson, Troy (April) Davis, Morgan White, Adam White, Justin Simpson, Daniel Simpson, and Lucas Simpson, as well as other family members and friends.
The family would like to thank the Concho Health and Rehabilitation Center and Hospice of San Angelo for the loving care they gave to Casey. It will always be remembered and appreciated.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Harper Funeral Home, from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Harper Funeral Home, at 10:00am. Burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
