Cecelia Rose (Townsend) Frye, of San Angelo, TX entered Heaven Thursday January 11, 2016. Cecelia was a true “Rose” and was loved by everyone who knew her. She was a kind, gentle, loving and giving Sister, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Cecelia was born on September 2, 1950 in Lubbock, Texas to Gladys Lee (Smith) Fertsch and Lewis W. Townsend. By her side from the beginning until the end was her sister, best friend and confidant, Paula J. (Townsend) Hasty, of San Angelo, TX., and brother in law, David E. Hasty. Paula’s love for her little sister was undying. One daughter, Casey Angela Arce; son, Chad R. Frye, many grand-children and great-grandchildren. One nephew, Buddie D. Hasty, who absolutely loved his Aunt Ceil. A very close friend for years, Ken, who just adored Cecelia. And Darin Zephier, a special spirit to Cecelia. Cecelia was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Frye and a son, Richard Dickinson, Jr. Cecelia’s passion was her love for her big sister and family. She would do anything for them and did. She also loved to fish, cook and smoke. Cecelia cooked the best “fried potato’s” anyone ever tasted. And smoked like no one else. A Celebration of Cecelia’s life will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 15, 2016 at Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Currie officiating. The family would like to especially thank Myrtis Loudermilk, Harper Funeral Home and all the wonderful people there as well as Dr. Buchannan at Shannon Hospital. Without them, our pain would have been harder. Cecelia asked that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
