Delores Maciel Sarabia, 84, of San Angelo went to her eternal home in heaven on Friday, December 16, 2016 in San Angelo surrounded by her loving family. Delores was born September 15, 1932 in Cuero, Texas to Celestino and Thomasa Chavez Maciel. She married Octaviano “Otto” Sarabia on February 18, 1950 in San Angelo, Texas and they shared 33 beautiful years together. Delores was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. After her loving husband passed away her son Pete became ill needing constant care. Delores lovingly provided care for Pete until his untimely death in August of 2012. In her spare time, she enjoyed growing flowers in her garden and loved having lots of flowers all around her. She will dearly be missed by all who knew and loved her. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Otto and one son Pete Sarabia, 4 Brothers and 3 Sisters. She is survived by her children, Rita Ybarra and Steve Bradshaw, of San Angelo, Mary Ellen Dominguez, of San Angelo, Rosa Sarabia Saunders, of San Angelo, Elsa Ritter and her husband Butch, of Odessa and Otto Sarabia, Jr, of San Angelo; her Grandchildren, Randy and Mark Ybarra, Michael Sarabia, Junita Rodriguez, Johnny Martinez, Gordon Saunders, Ricky Saunders and Emilio Saunders, Johnny D.R. Sarabia, Jamie Perez, Sierra Perez, Daniel Perez, Adam “A.J.” Heinrich and Otto Sarabia III; 15 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren; her Brother, Jose Maciel and his wife Amanda, of San Angelo; her sisters, Anna Valenzuela and her husband Ismael, Janie Ortiz and Frances Nieves, all of San Angelo; and numerous nieces and nephews. The Rosary will be 6:00 P.M., Monday, December 19, 2016 at Harper Funeral Home chapel. The Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic church with Rev. Joey Faylona as celebrant. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her family. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Janie Ortiz for always devoting her time to be with her sister whom she dearly loved, and constantly showering her with gifts. We would also like to thank Steve Bradshaw, who graciously went above and beyond in helping Delores with anything she needed.
