Esperanza Q. De La Garza

Esperanza Q. De La Garza, 84, earned her wings on Saturday, October 13, 2018 peacefully while in her home. She was born September 14, 1934 to Juan and Thomasita Quiroz in Cd. Acuña, Coah, Mexico. Mrs. De La Garza was the Queen of her family, loved by so many, and will be forever cherished in their hearts. Every morning she tended to her flower garden, while talking on the phone with loved ones. She enjoyed crocheting hats, scarves, and blankets for her family. Her favorite activity was spending hours upon hours at the Casino. Mrs. De La Garza was known throughout the community for making her delicious Tamales. Her strength in life was unmatched, and she will forever be the rock of her family. May her memory forever be a reminder of strength to us all, as we mourn her passing. Rosary will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Harper Funeral Home. Catholic Mass will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Catholic Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. De La Garza will always be remembered as a loving wife, an amazing mother, a wonderful grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. De La Garza was preceded in death by her daughter Lilia De La Garza, grand-daughter Krystal De La Garza, and son Héctor De La Garza. She is survived by her husband Leandro De La Garza Sr., sister Diamantina Valdez, brother Alfonzo Quiroz, sons George De La Garza, and Leandro De La Garza Jr. and wife Marina, daughters Nina Morales and husband Juan ☨, Pat Villarreal and husband John ☨, Liz Wyatt and husband Guillermo, Rosie De La Garza and Rodrigo Fraire, Grace Martinez, Lilia Bell and husband Jason; grandchildren Leandro III, Nina, Mario, Ruben Fabian, Claudia, Joe, Esperanza, Denisse, Denielle, Alejandra, Sergio, Cassandra, Karla, Krystal, Will, Diego, Destiney, Robert III, Joslynn, Zack; great-grandchildren Tony, Adrian, Mikey, Seth, Cristina, Linnea, Alejandra, Aiden, Mia, Christian, Trey, Taylor, Briella, Evelyn, Keng, Kaeli, Camila; and her beloved dog Hunter. Pallbearers will be her beloved sons Leandro Jr. (honorary) and George De La Garza, grandsons Leandro De La Garza III, Ruben Fabian De La Garza, Joe Morales, Sergio De La Garza, Will Bell, Diego Martinez, Robert Treviño III, and Zack Bell (honorary).
