Faye Jacquelyn Howard Schoff, 72, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at her home in San Angelo, Texas following a battle with pancreatic cancer. Born December 21, 1944 in Berkley, California, daughter of Harry Nelson Howard Jr. and Virginia Dorothy Martin. Raised in the San Leandro, San Lorenzo, Hayward Area of the San Francisco/Oakland Bay area. She graduated from San Lorenzo High School in 1963. She met her husband, Robert David Schoff, JR. in November 1964 and they were married January 29, 1966 following his return from Vietnam. She worked as a preschool teacher for many years and enjoyed taking care of children. She was a loving and compassionate wife and mother, who maintained the family as a military wife. She kept the family together as the family moved around the world, living in California, Florida, Mississippi, Texas, Japan, Okinawa, Nebraska, Montana, Hawaii, England, and Arizona. She served as a Den Mother in Scouting helping to guide her sons in a positive way. She enjoyed cooking, horseback riding and visiting other countries. She was a religious woman whose faith in God guided her through life. She is survived by her husband of the home and two sons; Kevin David Schoff of Cuero, Texas and Sean Michael Schoff of Columbus, Georgia; One grandson, Kai Michael Schoff of Columbus, Georgia; Three sisters-in-law and their husbands; two brothers-in-law; and many nieces, nephews and cousins; and friends. She was predeceased by both parents, her brother and her special loved one, Miss Princess, her beloved dog. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Harper Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, August 11, 2017 at Harper Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Travis Monday, with interment to follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to extend thanks to the staff of Hospice of San Angelo for their fantastic care they provided Faye during her last days.
