Flo Marie Thieme Krall, 86, left this earthly world and joined her heavenly father on Sunday August 19, 2018. Flo Marie was the fifth of eight children born to Alfred Thieme Sr. and Ethel Alice Bade on September 20, 1931 in Forsan, Texas. She graduated from Coahoma High School in 1949 and entered Shannon West Texas Memorial School of Nursing the same year. Flo's nursing career of 36 years was as: RN in Labor and Delivery at Shannon Hospital, office nurse for Dr. Robert G Bridges at Angelo Clinic Association in San Angelo, Clinical Supervisor of Obstetrics at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska and Director of Nursing for the San Angelo State School where she retired in 1995. She married the love of her life, Burley Gene Krall, on February 4, 1951 in the First Baptist Church Chapel in San Angelo, TX. They were married 54 years. In 1969, Flo and Gene moved the family to Eagle River, Alaska where "they spent 12 winters". She treasured her experiences in Alaska and returned to visit family and friends as often as possible. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Gene in 2005, and siblings and spouses Fred and Ann Thieme, Floyd Thieme, Frank Thieme, LaVernia and Bill Benton, Madge and Richard Frazer, and Ethel Alice Carson. Her surviving sibling is Alfred Thieme Jr. and wife Cristina of Falls Church, VA, plus her Sisters-in-law, Dema Dolan Thieme of Grants Pass, OR, and JoAnne Krall Eisenbach of San Angelo, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. Mourning her passing are her children, David Krall of San Angelo, Kathy and Gene Robertson of San Angelo, and Becky and Steve Finch of Eagle River, Alaska, fourteen grandchildren with nine spouses, twenty-two great grandchildren with four spouses, and five great great grandchildren. Flo accepted Christ as her Savior at the age of ten in Forsan, Texas. She credits her parents with teaching her the love of God and the values she shared with family and friends through the years. She spent her life serving the Lord wherever she lived and is a charter member of Edmund Blvd Baptist Church in San Angelo. She treasured and loved the many friends she met along the way. Her greatest joys were the times spent with family and watching her many grandchildren participate in volleyball, hockey, soccer, football, and basketball. She was also proud of their many academic achievements. Above all, Flo passionately loved her family and friends and didn’t mind letting you know. She was a loving daughter, mother and Grandma to all. She left a legacy of love we will carry with us forever. Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 25, 2018 conducted at Harper Funeral Home in San Angelo with the Rev. Jim Benson officiating. Following the chapel services, burial will be in the Sterling City Cemetery, Sterling City, Texas. The family would like to thank Dr Ty Hughston, Dr Raj Cheruku and Dr Gregory Dunham of Shannon Medical Center for their outstanding care. In lieu of flowers, Flo requests honorary donations be made to Edmund Blvd Baptist Church in San Angelo, Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance or Hospice of San Angelo.
