Lee “Fred” Hale 87, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 in San Angelo. A Celebration of Fred’s Life will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 23, 2017 at The First Baptist Church in San Angelo with Dr. James Hassell officiating and a Masonic Service to conclude. Fred was born September 15, 1930 in Beeville, Texas to Johnny Lee and Alice Jones Hale. Fred is survived by his wife, Linda Hale, of San Angelo; his Son’s Edward Hale and his wife Theresa, of Rockwall, TX and Rickey Hale and his wife, Karen, of New Braunfels, TX; his Grandchildren, Brady, Rusty and wife Cassie, Jana and husband Brian, Anna Hale Whistler; his 5 Great Grandchildren; 2 Half-Sisters, Sandra Clark and Miranda Sandstrom and her husband Jesse; and one Half-Brother, Junior Fussell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Fred was preceded in death by his Father Johnny Lee Hale, his Mother Alice Lee Fussell and his Sisters, Mable and Sally. He married Linda Hargrove on August 4, 1973 and was a loving husband to Linda for 44 years. Fred enjoyed deer hunting and went every chance he got. He was always a hard worker at everything he did throughout his life. Fred owned and operated Fred’s T.V. and Appliances in Lake Jackson, Texas for many years. Fred and Linda moved to Colorado in 1989 where he received his real estate license and also worked for Albertson’s in Durango. Fred was a very active member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriner’s Club. He was Master of the Durango Lodge #46 and Master of the San Juan Lodge #33. Fred was also the presiding officer of the York Rite Council Chapter and Commandry, a 32 Degree Scottish Rite Mason. He was a longtime member of the Al Kaly Shrine Club, and served as past President of the Tin Lizzie’s Unit and past President of the San Juan Shrine Club. Fred’s devotion to his Masonic brotherhood and fellow Shriners was only surpassed by his love and devotion to his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him!
