Frieda Annie Weise Gross

Frieda Annie Weise Gross passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016. Frieda was born in New Bern in Williamson County, Texas to Robert Weise and Pauline Thessimeier Weise. She was the youngest of fourteen children. She became a child of God through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism on April 6, 1917. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Eola for 78 years. Frieda entered into marriage with Berthold Gross on February 3 1932 in the St. John Lutheran Church in Thrall Texas. Mrs. Gross is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, parents, and siblings. God blessed them with two daughters, Birdie Fay Gross Pool, and Betty Ann Gross Wiley, two grandchildren Natalie Griego and Todd Wiley, and five great-grandchildren: Sydney, Nicholas, Mia, Lauren, and Rome. She is also remembered by her loving nephews and nieces, and many, many friends Frieda loved to travel to visit her California family, especially at Christmas. She loved to cook, make quilts, and crochet. She was also an avid Rangers Fan. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Mt Calvary Lutheran Church, PO Box 636, Eola, Texas 76937, or to a church of your choice A visitation will be held at Harper Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held at First United Methodist Church 37 E. Beauregard, San Angelo, Thursday November 10 at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
