Gary Lynn Garnett, 59, of San Angelo went to be with his heavenly Father on Thursday, December 15, 2016 in San Angelo. Gary was born February 7, 1957 in San Angelo, Texas to Clarence “Lyn” and Sadie “Patsy” Churchwell Garnett. He grew up in San Angelo and graduated from Central High School in 1976. Gary was a loving son, brother, father and uncle. He was a sheet metal mechanic and air conditioning technician by trade. In his spare time, he enjoyed testing and tuning boats, cars, anything with a motor. He often attended boat races and drag races where he would at times work in the pit. He loved to go fast and loved to help people go fast. Gary was never was afraid of hard work and was extremely dedicated in everything he did especially when it came to loving his family. He was always happy and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone that needed it. Gary will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his Parents, Clarence “Lyn” and Sadie “Patsy” Garnett, of San Angelo; his Daughter, Ginger D’Nea Garnett and her boyfriend, Lance Headrick of San Angelo; his Sister, Debbie Albert and her husband Jack, of San Angelo; his Aunt and Uncle, Peggy and Ron Barbour, of Temple, Texas; his Niece, Shauna Perroots and her husband Jeff, of Charleston, S.C.; his Great Niece, Madelyn Perroots, of Charleston, S.C; and numerous cousins and other family members and close friends. A Celebration of Gary’s Life will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Mills Caraway officiating.
