Glenn Coulson Cunningham 94, went to be with our Lord and Savior April 12, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents Dick and Bessie Cunningham, his loving wife Lois; sisters Vena Benes and Carolyn Jewell. Glenn was born on July 9, 1923 in Miles, Texas to Dick and Bessie Cunningham. Glenn attended Miles high school and was very active in sports; until he enlisted in the armed forces. Glenn was a proud veteran of WWII. He served with the 783rd bomb Squadron as a gunner and later becoming a mechanic and engineer for the B24 bombers. When Glenn returned from the war he worked as a locksmith and safe cracker. He and his father owned and operate Dix Key Shop until he retired in 1989. He was a member and past president of the Business Men’s Bible Class and a lifetime member and past commander for the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars. He was active in many other organizations with his wife. He loved to fish, sing, and play guitar; especially with the band at the VFW. He and his wife loved to go dancing and visit with friends. His passion after retiring was hand painting all of his Christmas cards and writing books about his life. He will be remembered as a loving father, husband and friend. Glenn always had a great story to tell and he never met a stranger. He was the life of the party, a true character, and the most generous man around. He is survived by his daughters Linda Sears and Sharon King. A grandson Cody Sears and many granddaughters Stacy Vaughn, Leslie King, Gretchen Clayson, Jennifer Myers, Amanda Sears, and many beautiful great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Jean Bolz and a son he always wanted, David Staha. Visitation will be Monday April 16, 2018 at Harper Funeral Home from 6-8 and graveside will be at Miles cemetery April 17th at 11am. All that knew him know we lost a special man and he will be at peace with many friends and loved ones in heaven. "If you can't come, send money"
