Helen Joy Haggard

Helen Haggard, 85, of San Angelo, Texas passed away on July 23, 2017. Helen was the daughter of S. Sgt. George Dennis & Inez Keathley and grew up in Lamesa, Texas. She is proceeded in death by her best friend and love of her life of 64 years, R.E. Haggard. They were married on January 26, 1949. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Seaton and husband Ronnie of Brownfield and Patti Yarbrough and husband Jimmy of San Angelo; and three grandchildren Matt Seaton (Cori) of San Angelo, Kristi Fields of Lubbock, and Steven Yarbrough (Kensie) of Mertzon. She was also blessed with 5 great-grandchildren and one on the way, Jameson Fields (6), Sawyer Fields (4), Finley Yarbrough (2), Brett Yarbrough (1), Rowen Seaton (1), and Palmer Seaton (due any day.) Helen Haggard was a stay at home mother who loved working in the yard, painting, knitting, and various other crafts. Most of all she enjoyed reading her Bible and non-fiction books about religion and conservative politics. Her family was always the center of her life and brought her the most joy. Helen – Mom – Grand mommy – will be missed, but her family rejoices that she is finally healed from Alzheimer’s and is at peace. Helen’s family would like to thank the amazing people at New Haven Assisted Living and Memory Care for their prayers and special love and attention they gave her in her final days.
