After that, Herbert followed his heart back to farming and ranching, which he did for the next 70 years. He was an instrumental part of building the Wall Volunteer Fire Department. Along with all of the volunteer work he did for Wall ISD and St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Wall, TX. He instilled a love for the outdoors when he taught his 4 children how to hunt, fish and water ski; even though he didn’t know how to swim himself. Herbert was a blessing to all those around him and loved everyone like they were his children. Whenever someone was in need he was always the first one there without question. Herbert is preceded in death by his parents and 4 of his 9 siblings. He is survived by brothers, Harvey of San Angelo, TX, Donald of Tankersley, TX, and 2 sisters Darlene and Shirley of San Angelo, TX. He is survived by his wife, Marcella Caroline Woehl, of Wall, TX, his son Arlin Woehl of Wall, TX, daughters Mary Jo Stasiowski of Cedar Park, TX, Gayenell Phelan of Dixon, California, and Lisa Thompson of Edmond, Oklahoma. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Brooklyn, Sharlyn, Zachary, Aubrey, Andrea, Caroline, Chad, Jacob, Matthew, Caleb and Katie. He was also blessed with 3 great grandchildren, Dylann, Sawyer, and Leddy Bloodworth and the next generation of Woehl’s is on the way. He took pride in his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He showed how much he loved his family, by the stories he could tell, jokes he would play, and his witty comebacks.
