Irma G Cox, 64, of Sweetwater Texas passed away on January 7, 2022, at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo Tx. Irma was born to parents Ophelia Harris and Paul Gomez on October 22, 1957, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She spent most her life living in Sweetwater where she met Marvin. They married on October 27, 1973, and they remarried May 3, 2021. Irma worked at Ludlum’s for almost 20 years where she made lifelong friends. She always put her family’s needs first and loved being surrounded by her grandkids. She enjoyed road trips, a nice cup of coffee, baking, and she always had a meal whipped up. Her laugh was infectious and would light up a room. She will be missed dearly by all that knew her. Survivors include her husband Marvin, her children Michelle and wife Eva, Micheal, Matthew and wife Hailey, Mark and wife Myshella, Corrie and husband Dustin, her mother Ophelia and husband Kirk, her brother Adam, Sister Mary and husband Ruben, Sister-in-law Debbie, 14 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Irma was preceded in death by her father Paul Gomez, brothers Leo and “Sammy” Gomez, grandson Elijah Cox, grandparents E.T. and Juanita Gutierrez. The Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, January 17, 2022, at Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Davenport officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers for the service Mike Woodward, Joe David Lujan, Steve Lujan, Justin Lujan, Tanner Gomez, Joseph McGee, and Cody McGee .
