Jackie Bennett

Jacqueline “Jackie” Bennett joined her beloved husband in heaven Wednesday, September 19, 2018 peacefully surrounded by her family. Jackie was born in Springfield, Ohio to Robert and Elizabeth Porter on April 18, 1937. Jackie grew up in Springfield, Ohio where she graduated from high school, after graduating she enlisted in the Army where she served for six years between 1956-1962, first training in Maryland before being stationed in Japan and Germany. While stationed in Germany she met and married her first husband Dave Davis. Jackie and Dave had a wonderful life until his passing of emphysema in 1976. On January 1, 1977 Jackie married the love of her life Claude “Chuck” Bennett Jr. She supported her husband in everything they did together, helping to raise five children with him giving them all her love and devotion. Jackie loved her family, the Dallas Cowboys, and also had a special place in her heart for the many fur babies that she cared for throughout her life. Jackie was much loved by her family and will be greatly missed. Jackie is preceded in death by her husband Claude Bennett Jr., first husband Dave Davis, daughter Debbie Bennett, granddaughter Sara McCrohan, her great grandson Jared Peters, and her beloved mother Elizabeth Bisher. Jackie is survived by five children, daughter Pamela K. Bennett, son C. L. (Bubba) Bennett III, son Steve Bennett and wife Jill, daughter Phyllis McCrohan and husband Pat, daughter Karen Williamson and husband Bary. Ten grandchildren Catherine Mullen and husband Todd, Larry Peters Jr. and wife Amanda, Christina Ramirez, Amanda Peters, Trish Hamilton and husband Chris, Megan Bennett, Nicholas Bennett, Cade Bennett, Tyler Williamson, Brandon Williamson and wife Lesley; 20 great grandchildren, 3 great- great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Lawnhaven Memorial Garden Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 1:00 PM.
