We are celebrating the life and legacy of James Robert Waldeck. Saturday, October 13, 2018 was his predestined date to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. James was born June 7, 1930 in Clarksburg, West Virginia to Dale and Kathryn Waldeck. He worked for Atlantic and Pacific (A&P) Grocery for five years then in 1953 moved to Texas at Susan Peek Near Wall, Texas and began a 33-year long career with Plymouth Oil Company, which became Marathon Oil Company. He retired as a pumper and roustabout in 1986. He is survived by his adored wife who he was dedicated to for 69 years, Mary K. His passion for his family will be forever remembered by his wife Mary K., son-in-law Dusty Weaver of Yantis, Texas, and daughter Sue Lankford and her husband Aaron, of San Angelo, Texas. Pepa’s love and dry wit humor will be fondly remembered by his three grandchildren, Jennifer Wright and her husband Jason, of Wolfforth, Texas, Lance Weaver and wife Tandy of Midland, Texas, Sarilyn Shanks and husband Jake, of San Angelo, Texas. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren he cherished, Samuel, Matthew, Benjamin, Jonathan, Faith, Joy, Hope, and Jedidiah Shanks, Amie Weaver, Bryson and Brayden James Wright. He will be remembered by nieces, a nephew, church family and his special morning coffee friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and his oldest daughter, Debra Weaver. A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harper Funeral Home. A funeral service in memory of James will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 2:00 PM, at Harper Funeral Home with Pastor Rody Chesser and Emmett Corker officiating. Our Honey, Dad, Pepa, Uncle Jim, and friend’s legacy is living on and his life on earth is fulfilled and complete.
