John L. Knight

John L. Knight was born on October 30, 1935, in Danville, Illinois, to Ralph M. and Gwendolyn P. Knight. As the eldest of eight siblings: John (Jack), Richard (Dick), Loretta, Mary Elizabeth (Betsy), William (Bill), Kenneth, Edward (Ed), and Barbara (Barb), he led a full life.

After graduating from Bismarck Illinois High School in 1953, he earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois in 1960.

John's memory is cherished by his devoted wife of 28 years, Esperanza Knight, their stepsons Roman Garcia, Charles, and Linn Knight, his sons Mark, Elizabeth, and John Knight, and their adopted son Scott Knight, along with his loyal dog and best friend, "Leo."
