Jonathon H. "Jonny" Emmons

Jonathon H. “Jonny” Emmons, 58, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 24, 2015 in San Angelo. The family will receive friends from 8:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M., Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Harper Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Benson officiating. Jonny was born January 25, 1957 in Williston, North Dakota to Herbert H. Emmons, Jr. and Dahna Mae McAwain Emmons. Jonny worked in construction all of his life but became a master in Pipeline Construction and building Compression Stations in the Petroleum Industry. He married Kathryn Grant on August 3, 1984 in Odessa and they shared 31 beautiful years together. Jonny lived 20 years in Odessa and then moved to San Angelo after retirement. He had a great many passions in life. Among them, hunting, fishing, golfing, riding horses, bull riding, attending and being in Rodeos, having coffee with Mema and “rough housing” with his grandchildren. Jonny enjoyed being at his ranch and especially “Thanksgiving with the boys!” He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed his “ice cold bud lite” from time to time. Jonny was as big as life and loved being with his family and friends. He will dearly be missed by all who loved him. He was preceded in death by his Parents and one sister. Jonny is survived by his loving family, Wife, Kathy Emmons; his children, Nickie Wilson and Shae Bell, Kathy Trujillo and husband David, Mitchell Emmons and wife April and Misty Hensch and husband Cameron; 14 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandchild; his Brothers, Daniel Emmons and wife, Ginger, and Billy Best; his sisters, Linda Emmons and Cyndia Clymes and husband Michael. He is also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews and a lifelong friend, Michael Goolsby and wife Beth.
