K C Collier

November 7, 1925 — April 6, 2017

K C Collier, 91, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 6, 2017 in San Angelo. K C was born November 7, 1925 to Kim and Blanche Collier in San Angelo, Texas. He served his country honorably as a Belly Gunner on a B-24 in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII. K C received numerous decorations while serving his country, and was also awarded the Purple Heart. He met the love of his life, Jo Marie Chumley, on a blind date in Abilene, Texas and they were married February 21, 1946. They shared 71 beautiful years together. K C was in the construction business. He owned and operated C-V Construction Company for many years until his retirement. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who devoted his life to his family. K C was a man of great faith and trust in the Lord and enjoyed reading his bible. In his spare time, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing dominoes and watching the Dallas Cowboys. K C will be dearly missed by his family and friends and his life will live on in our hearts forever! He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Kaci Jo Collier. K C is survived by his loving wife, Jo M. Collier, of San Angelo; his Granddaughter, Kelly Coleman, of Ausitn, TX; his Nieces, Linda Walker and her husband Royce, of Big Spring, TX, and Paula Duncan and her husband Noel, of Hancock, NH. He is also survived by his special dog, “Marshall Dillon.” The Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, April 10, 2017 at Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mack Roller officiating. The Graveside Service will be 2:30 P.M., Monday, April 10, 2017 at Robert Lee Cemetery in Robert Lee Texas.
