Katarina (Kathy) Perez Green

Katarina (Kathy) Perez Green, passed from this world to be with her Mama and Lord & Savior on December 27, 2024, at the age of 82. She was born on November 25, 1942, in Martindale, TX to Victoria Perez.

Kathy was a charismatic soul throughout her life. One of her best traits was not to shy away from telling you like it is. Though the greatest one of all was her fighting spirit no matter how much life threw at her. That same fighting spirit may have been what contributed to being an avid wrestling fan throughout the years. You’d swear Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was her favorite the way she’d lights up and smile ear to ear. With that same joy she had for wrestling, she’d also have for music. A few of her favorite artists ranged from Little Joe, Ramon Ayala, Ruben Ramos & of course Selena. Anytime a good song she loved came on, she wouldn’t hesitate to grab you for a dance. Such grace and charm that kept you dancing for a song or two. Kathy also had a passion for helping and being of service to others. That led her into healthcare at Greenwood Nursing Home and Park Plaza, and she eventually transitioned to Luby’s Cafeteria. Kathy was married to Harold Ray Green for 26 years.

She was the oldest of many siblings to, Maria Inez, Guadalupe, Horinda, Adelita, Silbera, Alberto, Jose, Casim and Arturo. Later in life she’d have children of her own, Herlinda, John Paul, Mary Ester, Mary Alice, Albert, Rosita and Elizabeth Ann.

She is preceded in death by her mother Victoria Perez, daughter Mary Alice Deleon Brookshire, sisters Maria Inez Garcia Deleon, Guadalupe Garcia and brother Alberto Perez. She is survived by her children Herlinda, John Paul, Mary Ester, Albert, Rosita and Elizabeth; grandchildren Anthony Padilla, Arielle Padilla, Tatiana Padilla, Angelica Pena, Carl Jr, Sinurae Deleon and many more grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings Florinda, Adelita, Silbera, Jose, Casim and Arturo.

A rosary will be held on January 4, 2025 at 2:30 PM at Harper Funeral Home.
