Leta Kay Robinson

February 22, 1978 — September 21, 2017

Leta Kay Robinson, precious daughter of Robert and Kay Robinson went to be with our Lord on Thursday, September 21, 2017 in San Angelo, Texas. She was born February 22, 1978 in Lamesa, Texas. She was a member of Seminole First Baptist Church where she made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized at the age of eight years old. Leta Kay attended Seminole schools and graduated in 1996. She then attended Midland College for a brief time. For several years she was a successful cosmetic consultant until her illness required her to retire. Leta Kay fought a complicated and painful illness with courage, determination, and a great faith in God. Although she was very limited in what she could do, her bravery and positive attitude inspired and encouraged many friends and strangers who knew or heard about her. Among her favorite activities were shopping, baking, gardening, playing with her nephews and niece, playing volleyball, dancing, and rooting for the Baylor Lady Bears basketball team. Leta Kay had a special friend, her cat Toonkus, whom she rescued and loved for seventeen years. She said if she ever won the lottery, she would buy a soft ice cream machine, a shaved ice machine, a soda fountain, and have an animal rescue. Leta Kay was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Truett and Oleta Been of Eastland, Texas, and her paternal grandparents Wilbert and Caroline Robinson of Bronx, New York. She is survived by her parents; brother Robbie and wife Lindy of San Angelo; brother Rusty and wife Christie of Centerville; nephews Jantzen, Jaxson, Rush, Coleman, and Cannon; and niece Avery. She is also survived by her uncle and wife Ray and Owana Been of Conroe; cousin, Carol and husband Bill Baker, of Waco; numerous other cousins and countless friends. The Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, September 25, 2017 at Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jane Woodward officiating. The Graveside Service will be 3:00 P.M., Monday, September 25, 2017 at Buffalo Gap Cemetery in Tuscola, Texas. The family wishes to thank Dr. Van Wehmeyer and Dr. David Martincheck of Waco for the care and friendship they gave to Leta Kay for several years. A special thanks is extended also to the staff of Regency House and Kindred Hospice for the loving care and friendship given to our Leta Kay.
