Linda M. Baker

Linda Marie Baker, 76, of Barnhart, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 19, 2024, in Big Lake, Tx. Linda was born May 1, 1948, in Ballinger, Texas to Alton Glass and Ernestine Feist Glass. Linda married Jimmy Baker in November of 1981and they shared over 42 beautiful years together. She worked for the San Angelo Independent School District and then Reagan County Independent School District as an administrative assistant for 37 years and retired from there. In her spare time, she loved quilting, working in her yard and traveling the world. Linda was also the Director of The Barnhart Community Center for Irion County. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family and friends, and she will be dearly missed by all who loved her. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Lee J. Cuba, her brothers, Bobby Glass and A.J. Glass, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Jimmy Baker, of Barnhart, TX; her son, Grant V. Cuba, of Barnhart; her grandson, Jackson Lee Cuba, of Barnhart; her stepdaughter, Shala D. Baker, of Midland; her brother and Sister-in-law, Gary and Kathy Glass, of Eola, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews and aunts and other family members and close friends. The funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Harper Funeral Home Chapel. The burial will be private.
