Lupe Moya Gonzales

Lupe Moya Gonzales received her wings on October 24, 2024, with her family at her side. She was born to Julio Moya and Pauline Gutierrez on May 10, 1933. Lupe married Jilverto (Felix) Gonzales on October 18, 1951. From this marriage she had five children. Lupe worked various jobs as an optometrist assistant, head start aide, Angelo community lab tech, hair stylist, Levi Strauss and Ethicon, but her most treasured job was being a home maker and grandmother. It was always known that the loves of her life were her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Felix, her sons, Stevie and Baby Pete, and her siblings, Pete, Jessie, Joe, Mary and Connie. Lupe is survived by her children, Mary Ellen (Wink) Winkler, Patricia Ann (Charlie) Velasquez and Rachel (Chris) Shows; her nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Noel Moya, numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and close friends. The rosary will be at 6:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Harper Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Benito Rojas as celebrant. The burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks and appreciation to the nurse’s aides from Lyndale, Stephanie Melendez and Shelly Lechuga.
