Mary Frances Smith Willis of San Angelo, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2023. She was born March 30, 1930, in Best, TX to Nathan and Margaret Smith, both of whom have preceded her in death. She was married to Clarence E. Willis for 75 years and was the mother of two daughters, Gwendolyn, and Sandra. She worked for 29 years at Ethicon where she retired. She was active in her church and other civic organizations. At the age of 3 she became a member of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, now Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and remained faithful in many departments, including: Missions, Ushers, Prayer, and Fellowship. She was known for her culinary and baking skills which she shared with her church members and wider community. Her community participation included: Rosary Reading and Art Club, Le Coterie Society, and Delta Memorial Park Cemetery Association. She enjoyed her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren and avidly supported them in their extracurricular activities. Travel was also her passion. Viewing will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm at Harper Funeral Home and Crematory, 2606 Southland Blvd. San Angelo. A Celebration of Life for Mary Frances will be held on Monday, February 13 at 11am at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church 301 West 23rd St. Interment will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
