Maxine Magee

Maxine Pilgrim Magee, 82, of San Angelo Texas, passed away on September 20th, 2017. The Memorial Service will be held at Saturday October 7th, at Calvary Chapel San Angelo. Pastor Robert Bigouette of Calvary Chapel San Angelo will be officiating. Maxine was born in Crossett Arkansas on June 8th 1935. Maxine was married to Rupert Blue Magee; they were married eleven years when Rupert died. Maxine married Allan Freeman Startzman in 1971, they were married 9 years. Maxine worked as a switchboard operator for Southwestern Bell in Houston for 10 years. She enjoyed being with her family, reading books, cooking and gardening. She was also actively involved in volunteering as a Candy Striper for many years at hospitals in the Houston area. Maxine is survived by son Mark, Daughter Marilyn, grandchildren Jillian Cheel and Cheryl Jensen, Christian, Nathan, Faith Holly and Andrew Magee, brother John, and other family and friends. Maxine is preceded in death by her husband Rupert Blue Magee, Mother Dell Mars Pilgrim, Father JQ Pilgrim. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Calvary Chapel San Angelo.
