Metitia Fay Mccreery

Metitia Fay McCreery, went to be with her lord on May 3, 2016. Metitia is survived by two sons and their spouses Cecil and Michelle and Gary and Lisa, two grand-daughters, and many step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. Metitia was proceeded by her husband Joe H. McCreery and her eldest son Joe H McCreery Jr. Metitia was employed by the Air Force at Good Fellow until her retirement, at which point she became active in volunteering with local agencies. She spent many years as a volunteer at Angelo Community Hospital, Girls Scouts, Meals for the Elderly, and spent some time as a volunteer at the SAISD helping them with filing. She spent many years as an active member of the local crafters guild, and made many friends both within the guild and those shopping. She married the love of her life on May 31, 1959, in a whirlwind courtship when he came home from basic training with the Navy. They spent the next 40 years together raising three sons and traveling across much of the United States and parts of Europe. She was loved by a great many and will be missed. By the grace of God, she is once more with the love of her life. Funeral Services will be at 10 am on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be given to Meals for the Elderly in San Angelo or your favorite charity.
