Michael "Jake" Engle

Michael “Jake” Engle, 34 of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 16, 2017 in San Angelo after a lengthy illness. Jake was born September 25, 1982 in Van Horn, Texas to Mitch Engle and Mary Conoly. He attended schools in San Angelo and worked in various jobs in the construction business for many years. Jake was a loving son and father. He was always willing to help others in need. Jake was so kind hearted that he would give anyone the shirt off of his back if they needed it and he also gave the best hugs. In his younger days his spare time was spent playing ice and inline hockey. As an adult he enjoyed playing with his boys, fishing, hunting, joking around with people, playing video games and hanging out with his friends. We will dearly miss our beloved Jake, but his love and life will live on in our hearts forever! Jake was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Martha Conoly, his father, Mitch Engle and his daughter, Cadence Engle. He is survived by his mom, Mary Conoly and her fiancée, John Agee of San Angelo, his children, Aiden Engle, Bryce Engle and Peyton Coleman, all of San Angelo; his grandmother, Tomi Engle, of Kerrville, TX, his sister, Tinnie Engle, of Gilmer, TX; a special person who was like a second mom to him, Tracy Benge, of San Angelo; the mother of his children, Amy Brown, of San Angelo; and numerous other Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. The Memorial Service will be at 2:00pm, Friday April 21, 2017 at Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Richardson officiating.
