Perry Blake Poe, 60, passed from this life at his home late Monday evening. He was born on July 24, 1957 in Winters, TX to Dennis C. and Rhuenell Compton Poe. After graduation from Winters High School, Perry engaged in farming and ranching with his dad. He managed the North Runnels Water District prior to moving to San Angelo, TX where he worked at various auto dealerships, most recently at Jim Bass Ford, and engaged in self-employed endeavors. Perry married Zelina Torres on February 11, 2011 in San Angelo. Perry’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Zelina, and his mother, Rhuenell Hall and her husband, Richard Jones of San Angelo. He is also survived by the lights of his life, his three daughters, Amber Leshae Poe of New Mexico, Amanda Blake Poe of Abilene, TX and daughter and son in law Erica Nicole and Steve Cavazos of Abilene. His surviving granddaughters are Madison Poe and Presley Carter of Abilene. Perry is also survived by step-son and wife, Angelo and Lexi Torres and step-grandson, Noah of San Angelo. His surviving brothers and their wives are Cliff and Jeani Poe of League City,TX, Greg and Glinda Poe of Lubbock, TX and Brandon and Karen Poe, also of Lubbock. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends. A visitation will be held Friday, August 18, 6:00-8:00 PM, at Harper Funeral Home, 2606 Southland Dr., San Angelo, TX, 76904. Services for Perry will be Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Glen Meadows Baptist Church, 6002 Knickerbocker Rd, San Angelo, TX 76904. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Glen Meadows Baptist Church Legacy Fund, the United Way or the charity of your choice.
