Rebecca Clarise "Becky" Gohmert

July 9, 1960 — August 20, 2018

Rebecca Clarise Gohmert, 58, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 20, 2018 in San Angelo. Becky was born July 9, 1960 in Misawa Japan to Floyd Richard Morse and Violet Janette Sweeting Morse. Being the daughter of a military family, Becky grew up all over the world. Once her family was stationed in San Angelo she attended and graduated from Lakeview High School. She worked various jobs during her lifetime, but she finally found a home working in retail sales at Walmart. For the last 17 years she has worked in every department at Walmart. She loved her Walmart family and all of the customers she helped every day at work. Becky was a people person and she loved to brighten everyone’s day and lift their spirit with her bubbly personality and her great smile. She never met a stranger and always looked for the good in people. Becky was a very hard worker and had a steadfast will. In her spare time, she loved gardening and caring for all her special animals, like her donkey “Burrito” and her guide dog “Lady Bird.” Becky was a loving daughter, sister, mother and “Nana” who loved family and all her friends dearly. Her life of giving of herself to others and her beautiful spirit will remain in our hearts forever and we will dearly miss her. Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Violet, her husband and love of her life Val Gohmert, her sister Damie and her grandson, Jaimon. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Wilson, of San Angelo; her three grandchildren, Ceadi Doan, Leixus Burney-Jackson and Dakota Wilson; her sister, Jan Keele, of San Antonio and three brothers, Ernest Morse, of San Angelo, David Morse and his wife Evelyn of Kingsland and Gilbert Morse, of San Angelo. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and close friends. A celebration of life will be held for Becky on a future date. Family and friends may share condolences and sign the online register book at www.harper-funeralhome.com
