Roberto was born in Hidalgo Mexico to Juan and Monica Corona on March 21, 1968. He grew up in Mexico and graduated high school before immigrating to West Texas in the 1980’s. He began his life in West Texas by working as a ranch hand for several years until he decide to pursue a career in HVAC. He obtained his HVAC license and worked for several years as an HVAC technician. He later decided to work for Hunt’s military housing as a maintenance tech at Goodfellow Air Force Base. Along this journey Roberto made a major accomplishment by obtaining his US Citizenship. He was known to many for his vast array of handy man skills, from HVAC to gardening. Roberto was always well known for his quality work and his work ethic. Roberto loved to riding his motorcycle, going to church, but loved spending time with his children and grandchildren most of all. Mr. Corona is preceded in death by his father Juan Pena Corona. Mr. Corona is survived by his wife Amalia Corona; mother Monica Corona; three sons Don Matthew Corona, Roberto Josue Corona, Daniel Rauel Corona; Two daughters Olivia Sanchez, Melissa Hernandez; seven grandchildren Envy Corona, Euphoria Corona, Anastacia Hernandez, Marcus Hernandez, Abriana Hernandez, Kataleya Sanchez, Jakobe Sanchez; his is also survived by his Brothers, Marcial Corona, Emilio Pena Sisters Virginia Corona Durazno, Maria , and numerous nieces, and nephews. A visitation will be held at Harper Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, June 9, 2017. A funeral service will be held at Harper Funeral Chapel Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at Mullins Cemetery. Roberto Durnazo Corona, passed away on June 5, 2017 at the age of 49.
