Ruben Talamantez Martinez

Ruben Talamantez Martinez, 26, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 11, 2018 in San Angelo. Ruben was born November 18, 1991 in Stephenville, Texas to Carlos Talamantez Martinez, Sr. and Thresa Rose Rojas Martinez. He grew up in San Angelo. Ruben was a welder by trade and was a very hard-working man. He was a loving husband, son, and a great father to his three children. His passions were fishing, riding dirt bikes, off roading and watching football. Especially his team the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed playing pool, having BBQ’s and hanging out with his family and friends. Ruben loved to have a good time with his family and friends and he had the most unforgettable smile. His beautiful spirit was only surpassed by his love for his family. We will carry him with us in our hearts forever! Ruben was preceded in death by his father Carlos T. Martinez, Sr., and one brother Brandon J. Martinez and also grandpa Mariano Martinez. He is survived by the love of his life and fiancée Rose Montanez, of San Angelo; his children, Alannah Liann Martinez, Aubrianna Rose Martinez and Ruben Talamantez Martinez, Jr., all of San Angelo; his Mother, Thresa Rose Martinez, of San Angelo; his Brothers and Sisters, Jessica Alvarado, of Amarillo, Francesca Martinez, of San Angelo, Carlos Martinez, of San Angelo, Tyrone Martinez, of Odenton, MD, Chelsie Martinez, and loving grandma Edelmira T. Martinez. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. The Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Harper Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 10: 00 A.M., Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Mike McCravy officiating. I’m Free Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I'm following the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard his call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work, to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I've found that peace at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My Life's been full, I savoured much, Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch, Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free.
