Sharon Marie Sharp

Sharon Marie Sharp, a beloved resident of Brady, Texas, passed away on April 18, 2024, at the age of 80. She leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and dedication to her family and community.

Sharon was born on October 30, 1943, in Houston, Texas, to Joseph Franklin Clarady Sr. and Helen Louise Page. She grew up alongside her siblings, Eleanor, Barbara, and Joseph. She attended Bellaire High School in Houston, Texas, and later pursued her passion for accounting. In August 1981, Sharon earned her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Corpus Christi State University.

Professionally, Sharon was self-employed and gained recognition as a registered tax return preparer and professional LTD. She was a longtime member of Toastmaster’s and held the position of District Governor of District 56. Sharon’s dedication to communication and leadership led her to receive the distinguished Toastmaster Award in July 1991—the highest honor in her field, as well as many other distinguished awards through out her time of service. As a lay minister, she continued to serve her community and share her faith.

Beyond her professional life, Sharon had a vibrant artistic side. She found joy in adult coloring books and continued her education in lay ministries. Her commitment to personal growth and creativity endeared her to those who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara, and one niece.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy Rex Sharp, of Brady, Texas. Together, they shared a life filled with love and companionship. Sharon’s daughter, Tiffany Marie Schoenherr (Seguin, Texas), with her husband, Glenn Schoenherr. Sharon’s stepchildren include Erickson Rex Sharp (Angleton, Texas), Sharlene Ann Shefcik (Dickinson, Texas) and husband Timothy Charles Shefcik, and Gaylord Darrell Sharp (Spring Branch, Texas). Her grandchildren are Emily Ann Schoenherr (Seguin, Texas), James Webb Hearne III (The Woodlands, Texas) and his wife, Jennifer Nicole Hearne, and Kristen Ann Colleps (Kingwood, Texas), and great-grandchildren, Jackson Lane Hearne (The Woodlands, Texas), Shailyn Ann Boone (Kingwood, Texas), Peyton Savannah Hearne (The Woodlands, Texas), and Jette Anna-James Hearne (The Woodlands, Texas). Lastly, she is survived by her sister, Eleanor Neal (Nacogdoches, Texas) and husband Glenn Neal, and brother, Joseph F. Clarady (Helotes, Texas) and wife Elizabeth Clarady, four nephews, and two nieces.

A memorial service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held at Grace United Methodist Church in Brady, Texas, on April 24 at 2 o’clock, officiated by Pastor Bun.
