Steve C. Ybarra

Steve C. Ybarra, Jr.,71, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 21, 2016 in San Angelo. The Rosary will be 6:00 P.M., Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Harper Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, January 25, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Joey Faylona as celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Steve was born May 25, 1944 in San Angelo, Texas to Esteban Ybarra, Sr. and Tomasa Carrasco Ybarra. He made his home in San Angelo and worked for the San Angelo Country Club for many years and retired from there. Steve was a very loving and caring father. He was always very respectful of other feelings and went out of his way to help others. Steve loved giving of himself for his friends and family and anyone who needed his help. He was selfless to the point of doing without for himself so that others could have what they needed. Steve always made sure that everyone around him felt welcomed and accommodated. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, playing “Bingo,” and working on his truck. His tremendous love and caring spirit will live on in our hearts forever! Steve was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving family, Sons, Randy Ybarra and his wife Molly, and Mark Ybarra, all of San Angelo; His Grandchildren, Evan Ybarra, Max Ybarra and Francisco Ybarra; his Brother, Marcus Ybarra, of San Angelo; and his sisters, Lori Zemke and her husband David, of San Angelo and Bernice Martin and her husband David, of Fort Worth, TX. He is also survived by other family members and close friends.
