Terri Lynn Harris Motl

Terri Lynn Harris Motl of San Angelo passed away on December 13th, 2024. She was born on December 9th, 1954, in Fort Worth, Texas, to parents John Scott Harris and Mary Jo (Townley) Harris.

She was married to Steve Motl on August 24th, 1974, in San Angelo, Texas and they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. She graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 1981 and after graduation became one of the first board certified family law attorneys in San Angelo.

She was an avid tennis player and during her life was able to achieve her bucket list item of attending all four major grand slam tennis tournaments. She attended Sierra Vista United Methodist Church, was a founding member of The Light Sunday School Class, and was a long-time member of the choir.

Terri is survived by her spouse, Steven Ross Motl of San Angelo, her two sons Mason Ross Motl (Jordan) of Austin, and Scott Ryan Motl (Leah) and her grandson Silas Robert of Wylie. Sisters: Lauralee Harris, Bonnie Jo Hollis, Jaye Marie Huseman (Ken), and Charles Scott Harris (Jamie). She is also survived by her Mother-In-Law Jo Ann Motl, Sisters-In-Law, Lisa Peace and Rory Motl and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by: Her parents, Mary Jo and John Scott Harris, Her Father-in-Law, Calvin Motl, and Brothers-In-Law Robert Motl and Tommy Hollis

Funeral service will be held at Sierra Vista United Methodist Church, 4522 College Hills Blvd, San Angelo, Texas 76904, on Wednesday December 18th at 10 o’clock in the morning. The service will be officiated by Associate Pastor Tamara Strehli. Burial service to follow at Belevedere Memorial Park Cemetery at 3504 Arden Rd, San Angelo, TX 76901. Where she will be laid to rest beside her mother and father.

The pallbearers for her service will be Mason and Scott Motl, Jay Bachman, Jeremy Hollis, Jonathan Huseman, and Danny Coleman.

The family would like to thank Harper Funeral Home for their assistance during this time.
