Wilma Fay Wade, 76, of San Angelo went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in San Angelo. Wilma was born August 29, 1941 in Llano, Texas to Carlos and Annie Bell Morrow Patterson. She grew up in Llano and graduated from Llano High School. Wilma married the love of her life, Dewayne Wade on May 1, 1960 in Abilene, Texas and they shared 57 incredible years together and raised three children. Wilma was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who devoted herself to her family. She also worked with her husband in their family business as a secretary and bookkeeper for most of her life. Wilma was a strong woman of faith and was baptized on May 14, 1967 at Immanuel Baptist Church in San Angelo, Texas. She loved her church home of over 50 years and was a children’s Sunday School Teacher there for 30 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and growing beautiful flowers. Wilma was an amazing seamstress and while her children were little, she sewed all of their clothing and costumes. She was devoted to her grandchildren as well and loved spending time with all of her family and her special dog “Lady.” She was an amazingly kind and generous woman with a remarkable inner strength. Her life and legacy of love will live on in our hearts forever and we will dearly miss her! Wilma was preceded in death by her Parents and one Daughter, Diane Wade. She is survived by her loving family, husband, Dewayne Wade, of San Angelo; her children, Debbie Carr and her husband Gary, of San Angelo, Donna Rathmell and her husband Kipp, of Miles, TX, and Jackie Wade and his wife Pam, of Wall, TX; 7 Grandchildren, Sterling Carr, Britney, Will, Lacie, Cassidy and Cody Rathmell and Kimbri Wade; her Brother, Kenneth Patterson, and his Wife Shirley, of Llano; her half-brothers, Roy and Wayne Patterson, of Mineral Wells, TX; his 4 sisters, Janie Castro and her husband Richard, of Llano, Vivian Field and her husband Jack, of Burnet, TX, Carolyn Lawson and her husband Melvin, of Llano and Betty Strand and her husband Carlos, of Llano, TX; her half-sister, Wilma Needham, of Decatur, TX. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 5:30 P.M.- 7:30 P.M., Friday, March 2, 2018 at Immanuel Baptist church. The funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Richardson officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
